Sarasota Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Karen D
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Sarasota, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Sarasota Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Sarasota Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/14/2025, Sarasota Subaru donated 120 shoes/socks to Safe Children Coalition - Schoolhouse Link. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

For the 10th year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) is partnering with Subaru and its retailers to spread warmth, love, and relief to cancer patients and their families as part of the Subaru Loves to Care®. As part of the monthlong program, Subaru customers and retailers write encouraging messages of hope in-store to accompany cozy blankets—sharing love and warmth with those who need it most. This June, John's Hopkins All Children's Hospital and its staff graciously partnered with local Subaru retailer, Sarasota Subaru to hand deliver blankets to the oncology patients at John's Hopkins All Children's Hospital. LLS is honored to have the opportunity to connect with our community of patients in such a unique and intimate way. It takes a village, and together, we will shine light on the darkness of cancer.

The Academy at Glengary is honored to be selected as the hometown charity for Sarasota Subaru’s annual “Share the Love” event. Thanks to the generosity of Sarasota Subaru and Subaru of America, the Academy promotes the reintegration into society for adults living with mental illness, by providing opportunities for skill development, social supports and career placement. The Academy’s partnership with Sarasota Subaru extends back across seven years. We are deeply appreciative of Chris Doherty, Tim Reeher and the entire Sarasota Subaru team for their compassion and commitment to improving the quality of life in our region!

Subaru Love Promise Story – Sarasota Subaru Celebrates Arbor Day On April 19th, Sarasota Subaru proudly celebrated Arbor Day by putting the Subaru Love Promise into action. In partnership with local volunteers and environmental groups, our team helped place 100 trees throughout the Sarasota community—each one a symbol of our commitment to a greener future. The event brought together families, local leaders, and Subaru team members for a day filled with tree planting, eco-friendly activities, and community spirit. From watering to learning about native species, every moment reflected our dedication to caring for the Earth. At Sarasota Subaru, we believe in giving back to the place we call home. We are very grateful to our local Subaru retailer, Sarasota Subaru, for choosing the Academy at Glengary as their Hometown Charity for the 17th annual Subaru "Share the Love Event." With every new Subaru purchased or leased between now and January 2, 2025, Subaru of American, Inc. and Sarasota Subaru will donate $325 to charity.

The Academy at Glengary is very grateful to be selected again as beneficiary of the 2023-24 Subaru “Share the Love” event. Thanks to the amazing generosity of Sarasota Subaru, the Academy is able to expand vocational training services to adults pursuing mental health recovery. We applaud Mr. Chris Doherty, Mr. Tim Reeher, and the entire Subaru team for their compassion and dedication to the local community. During October 2024, Sarasota Subaru participated in the Subaru Loves Pets Love Promise activation. Sarasota Subaru partnered with Satchel's Last Resort, donating $4,000 for critical animal welfare services. Sarasota Subaru also donated 10 new dog parent kits, and 300 Subaru dog toys for the pets to enjoy! Satchel’s Last Resort is a no-kill animal shelter/sanctuary whose mission is to Rescue, Rehab and Rehome dogs and cats with nowhere else to go because of breed, behavior or medical issues.
Safe Children Coalition & Sarasota Subaru Charity Effort - Tim R
During the Subaru Loves to Help Love Promise activation, Sarasota Subaru partnered with Operation Warm to provide 100 coats to the Safe Children Coalition. Sarasota Subaru visited the Safe Children Coalition on March 3, 2024 to meet with their VP of Communications, Jacqueline House and present her with the coats to be distributed to children in need in the Sarasota area. The Safe Children Coalition's mission is to protect children, strengthen families and build community.
