The Subaru Outback Wilderness is the first Wilderness trim level to be introduced, and it's popular among all drivers for its standout style, rugged ability, and its interior accommodations. The Outback Wilderness models have 9.5-inches of ground clearance, compared to the usual 8.7-inches on other Outback models.

The differences between the Outback Wilderness and Forester Wilderness models come mostly from performance. The Forester Wilderness models have a higher ground clearance, with 9.2-inches instead of 8.7-inches, but slightly less than the 9.5-inches in the Outback. All the Forester Wilderness models also have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 182-horsepower, while Outback Wilderness models have a 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 260-horsepower.
Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness
If you're shopping for a smaller SUV that's easy to maneuver around Lakewood Ranch, FL and anywhere off-road, while also enjoying a better fuel economy than the other models, check out the new Crosstrek Wilderness models.
The Crosstrek Wilderness models all have the same exterior features that're offered on both the Outback and Forester Wilderness models, but with 9.3-inches of ground clearance instead of 8.7-inches, and they have a subcompact build that makes them nimble and friendlier on fuel.
All the Crosstrek Wilderness models deliver a strong performance with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 182-horsepower and 176 pounds-feet of torque, and they have standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
